Background
Streamline SaaS provides real-time financial dashboards for small businesses. Originally built as a monolithic application on a single massive EC2 instance, the platform was struggling to handle spikes in traffic during tax season. Deployment was a manual, stressful process that often resulted in downtime, and their cloud bills were skyrocketing because they were paying for maximum capacity 24/7, even when user traffic was low at night.
The challenges
The CTO needed to modernize the infrastructure to support rapid growth. The existing setup was a “single point of failure” if the main server crashed, the entire business went offline. Furthermore, developers were spending 20% of their week just fixing server issues instead of writing code. They needed a self-healing infrastructure that could scale up during the day and down at night to save money.
“Our deployment process used to be a nightmare of manual scripts and crossed fingers. Now, it’s a single click. The auto-scaling alone paid for the entire project in three months.“

The Solution
We executed a “Lift and Shift” strategy followed by a refactoring into microservices using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
The Result
The migration transformed the company’s operational stability and bottom line.
